Job Listing – Accounting Clerk

Responsibilities:

  • Record all invoices and credits received, properly classifying expenses, remitting payments to vendors, maintaining and organizing AP files
  • Verifying adjustments and transfers in alignment with budget, communicate any discrepancies with the Accounting Manager in a timely manner 
  • General accounting and administration assistance: help with G/L account reconciliation and month-end closing, other ad hoc projects
  • See to the proper coding of documents that require knowledge in determining proper classification of expenditure codes and accounting codes
  • Rectify transaction documents, which may involve revision of other documents or entries as well as the original; may initiate other actions
  • Settle discrepancies by checking all possible sources of disagreement, reconstructing probable actions, and recognizing the effect on other accounts; prepare correction documents as required
  • Other administrative and clerical duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or Business Administration, or related field
  • Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable – 1 year (required)
  • Bill.com experience (required)
  • NetSuite or another ERP system experience (preferred)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office with strong Excel skills (required)
  • Self-starting and detail-oriented
  • Excellent communication and time management skills

Reports to: Accounting Manager

**Salary dependent upon experience.
